Gibeo is a new company building technologies that take the Web and improve it, instantly and transparently. The open proxy architecture for enhancing and adding value to the Web transparently during transport has hardly been touched, until now. We've designed and demonstrated new techniques that can intelligently process any Web content, enhancing it and adding value on the fly.

The Gibeo Network is a demonstration of these powerful technologies, enabling any Internet user to highlight, annotate, search, and socialize any of the content they see. The growing membership is adding value to every site they visit, and content managers for those sites have the ability to be notified and administrate additions to their content.

One of the most exciting developments here at Gibeo is the Smart Appliances, the first of which is designed for a LAN. These devices can plug into any network and be configured to transparently filter any content, enhancing it in any possible. They are being used for group collaboration, advertising (for free or wireless networks), pop-up blocking, instant notifications, and restricted/safe filtering.
